The gym roof renovation project completed in April 2026.
In November 2025, Good News Detroit Church moved into our new home in Livonia. Along with this new beginning came a gymnasium that had been neglected and unused for years.
Today, we have an opportunity to bring this space back to life and restore its purpose for faith, families, youth, and community.
RECONNECT.
REBUILD.
RESTORE.
The gym has been disconnected from essential utilities for years. Our first step is to restore electrical power, reconnect water and plumbing, and prepare the building for a new beginning.
Once the essential utilities are restored, we will rebuild the gym from the inside out — adding insulation, walls, flooring, restrooms, lighting, and heating and cooling systems.
Power Reconnected.
Space Rebuilt.
Purpose Restored.
The final goal is not simply a renovated gym. It is a restored place where children can grow, families can gather, young people can belong, and the community can reconnect.
